The following are the top tourist destinations for Vacationing in Chile:

San Pedro de Atacama is a town in Northern Chile. It is one of most popular destinations in this country. To reach the town, there are the buses per day connect the town with Calama, operated by TurBus and other carriers, and takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes, costs 2.500 pesos (USD 5).


Villarrica is in Chile's Lakes District. In here, you can book organized tours with the adventure tourism agencies like Politur in Villarrica to get to the summit of Volcano Villarrica, Huerquehue National Park, hot springs, rafting, riding tours, canopy and more. To reach the town, you need to take the buses to/from Santiago leave daily. Also can fly to Temuco and drive half an hour to get to Villarrica.


Chiloé Island is located 1016 km. from Santiago and 90 km. southeast of Puerto Montt. To reach the island, you need to travel southeast from Puerto Montt towards Pargua, where you have to take the ferry across the Canal de Chacao. Ferries take buses and cars over on a regular basis, between 6:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.


Patagonia is a region in the south of Argentina bordered in the north by the Cuyo and Pampas regions. There are sevaral tourist sities that you should not be missed such as, Nahuel Huapi National Park, El Chalten, Los Glaciares National Park and Peninsula Valdes.


Pichilemu is a city in Central Chile south of Valparaíso. Many tourist known this city as a holiday town with beaches. To reach the city, you need to tavel by bus from the Terminal Alameda in Santiago, and takes about 2 hours, or you can rent a car and drive there, i think it faster than the bus.


Torres del Paine is a national park in the Extreme South region of Patagonian Chile. The park is vary beautiful scenery, and there are other attractions in the park such as Grey Glacier, Lago Grey, Lago Pehoe, Lago Nordenskjöld and Lago Sarmiento. To reach the park, you need to take bus from  Puerto Natales. Their itinerary depends on time of year, from November until february there are 2 frecuencies: at 7.30 AM arriving at 9.30 Am to Laguna Amarga entrance, and in the afternoon at 14.30 PM arriving at 16.30 to Laguna Amarga Entrance. From this point there are shuttles available to gest into Las Torres sector where Base Of Las Torres trek (the most famous one in the park) starts.
